From Vazhakkala Masjid:
- Continuation of the last week's qutba about economic etiquettes in Islam and the prohibition of interest.
- Earlier as well as now, people think that business and interest are same. In business, things are sold for a higher price. In interest, money is sold for a higher price. But, this is not correct. Because, in business there is a probability of profit or loss, whereas in interest based transaction, only addition is allowed.
- Some of us deal with house on "panayam" (what is the english word for this??), ie, a house is taken giving some big amount. House will be used for stay. After usage, house is returned and the money is also returned back. However this comes under interest. Rasool (S) has told that whenever some things are taken as "panayam", it should not be used. He has even told that if you give somebody some money as loan, you should not use that activity to take help from him in some other things. All these can come under bribe or interest. Similiarly we need to be careful on all our transactions whether it is halal or not.
- There is a way for us to get rid of the evil system. But if we feel helpless, nothing can be done. If we can sacrifice a little and try for better, surely changes can be made with the help of Allah. Every muslim should learn more on these.

Dear All,
Last week's Qutuba in civil station masjid focused on the following points
1.Naseehath(well wishing): a good quality muslim must practice.
2.Satisfaction after a good deed leads to loss of spirit and end of all further good deeds.It leads to an idle and inactive muslim
3.Lack of awareness leads to loss of fear in Allah(SWT).
1.Naseehath(Well-wishing)
Rasool(SAW) is a clear wellwisher for the mankind(Naasihul ameen/mubeen).
Well-wishing is the underline quality behind all the deeds of Rasool (SAW).
Holy Quran through Surah Asr declares "WaThawaasou bil haqi wathawasou biswabr"(advicing the justice and the patience) clearly points to keep a well-wishing mind.
Rasool(SAW) never desperated due to the poverty faced,due to the torturing of his natives,etc.But he desperated only due to the attitude of people towards the truth and Islamic ideology.This clearly depicts the well-wishing mentality of the prophet.
Rasool (SAW) 's very silly mis-behvaiour to Ummi makthoom(RA) was seriously criticised by Allah(SWT) through surah Abasa in Holy Quran.
Organisational or sectorial inclination must not block us from being a well-wisher.
2.Satisfaction makes muslim an idle one
Bare Satisfaction is the killer of all the spirit and good deeds.
A muslim must try to correct himself everytime and to work untill he is assured of the heaven.and he must not stay after getting just satisfaction through the deeds he has done already.
Rasool (SAW) once said:"I will be restless untill the heaven is assured to me".
3.Lack of awareness leading to loss of fear in Allah(SWT)
A common farmer living around us with low earning and lifestyle will be quite satisfied.This is due to lack of awareness of his capabilities and higher options.But a muslim must be aware of his spiritual capabilities and must work hard in the path of truth.
Knowledge is the underline factor of fear in God.
Allahu(SWT) declaring through Holy Quran that "Only my slaves with knowledge can be afraid of me".
NB:-Quranic translations are not exact.But tried to keep basic theme of the lines.

1. Access to amITy Library will be limited to amITy members working in Cochin. He/She has to furnish complete personal details to the library coordinator to access the library.
2. Members can avail one book and one CD at a time, if available.
3. A member has to inform Co-ordinator or company representative when he/she needs to access the library. Books/CD’s will be hand over to the borrower within 8 working days.
4. Books shall be returned before 31 days. He/she can extend the duration by contacting the co-ordinator/company representative. Extension request will be sancted if no demand exists for the books.
5. CD’s shall be returned before 7 days.
6. When accessing the library, borrower must ensure good condition of the books/CD’s. Compensation will be charged for the damage of books/CD’s. Original Books/CD’s must be returned if Books/CD’s are lost.
7. Borrower has to strictly obey Copyright rules of the Books/CD’s, if any. amITy will not be responsible for any violation from the rule.
